Types of Treatment
The many integrated treatment, rehabilitation and case management services offered by Foundations For Living fall into three unique programs:
- VISIONS: a dual diagnosis substance dependency and mental health treatment program for males and females.
- PASSAGES: a concentrated mental health program with a strong emphasis on behavior modification for females. We also provide substance abuse counseling services.
- EXPLORATION: a short team – 45 day assessment option including psychiatric and medical evaluations, pharmacological assessments, and full participation in individual, group, and family therapy.
Providing Care and Treatment for Pregnant Girls: Foundations For Living offers therapeutic treatment, prenatal care and support for pregnant females throughout her pregnancy as well as encouragement and parenting education after the baby is born. The young mother can return to us after delivery for continuation of treatment. We will assist to establish a plan for the newborn that may include reunification.
Providing Care and Treatment for Victims of Human Trafficking: Many communities view these youth as criminals—Foundations For Living knows they are victims of sexual exploitation and/or labor trafficking. Foundations For Living provides an environment that treats the complex trauma associated with human trafficking. Treatment Modalities used include: Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. Many of these youth have drug and alcohol addiction. We offer a dual diagnosis unit to treat both the emotional/mental health and chemical dependency issues for these youth. Additionally, our treatment staff provides support and advocacy to our youth during any legal proceedings associated with Human Trafficking.
